Our Story
Our journey began with a love for coffee, family, friendships, and nature. Over the years, we frequented a cafe that became our favourite spot after spending days at the stables. Sitting there, we often wondered, "What if we owned this place?" Little did we know that this simple thought would eventually blossom into our proud reality.
In 2024, The Garden Cafe came to life.
Our vision was to create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home—a space for families, friends, locals, cyclists, walkers, and their pets to enjoy our café and the beautiful surroundings. Our goal is to transform the café into a sanctuary where you can join us for engaging conversations and savour delicious meals made from local ingredients, along with carefully crafted hot and cold beverages.
The future holds exciting prospects for The Garden Cafe, including external catering, hosting weddings, parties, as well as community and charity events. We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter and eagerly anticipate sharing our journey with you.
Supplier Relationships
Wherever possible, our aim is to incorporate locally sourced Kent produce, prioritising organic options and collaborating with nearby farmers, growers, bakers, and butchers. We are dedicated to backing local independent businesses and fostering a sense of community within a broader network, enabling us all to grow together and share the benefits with our customers.
Through extensive testing, we have discovered the ideal well-rounded cup of coffee for our customers! Climpson & Sons supply us with meticulously sourced, premium coffee beans while also offering training for our skilled baristas.

There is something for everyone on our menu to enjoy. We believe that everyone’s dietary requirements should be catered for, which is why we have carefully selected delicious food, cakes, and milk options that can be enjoyed by vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free customers.

We are passionate about our planet and prioritize sustainability. Our mission is to reduce unnecessary waste and minimize our environmental impact by using only recyclable or compostable packaging. Additionally, we recycle our coffee grounds, which are nutrient-rich, especially in nitrogen, to benefit your plants.
